Senior Program

A large number of individuals in the Accessing Community Experiences (ACE) component of Day Training and Habilitation (DTH) qualify as seniors according to the 55 years and older definition. Their needs and desires in activities can be very different than that of younger individuals. In response to this need, a Senior Program was created as part of ACE in the fall of 2002. The goal of this program is connecting AccessAbility seniors to activities in the community to become more integrated into the Twin Cities senior community. Activities are incorporated that are more desirable to seniors but the program is mindful of the special needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
