Step Into Work Success Story
When Bob joined the Step Into Work program in 2002, he was in need of a more structured and supportive work environment. He has participated in a variety of work opportunities ranging from assembly to document processing. Bob also works as part of a team in the community on an as needed basis. At first he had difficulty learning the necessary skills and responsibilities needed in the workplace, but due to the variety and challenge of the work available he has improved his attendance, punctuality, and ability to accept work direction. Bobs interpersonal skills have also improved significantly and he will actively seek out staff to resolve his questions and concerns on his own. Bob, who has a great sense of humor and laughs a lot, enjoys the opportunities here at AccessAbility and loves to come to work.
