On Tuesday, February 13, the NE Lions Club of Minneapolis had its members' meeting at AccessAbility’s Hoover Street NE location, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
The Lions are dedicated to serving the people of Northeast Minneapolis and St. Anthony Village. They are hands-on volunteers, active fund-raisers, and regular participants and contributors to many local projects.
The organization’s goal for 2018 is to get its members out in the community to visit the organizations they support. There were over 20 members in attendance.
Accessibility’s President, Barbara Arnold, made an informal presentation the group about our programs, services and special projects, and answered questions. She also led a tour of the building, including renovated areas and the new addition, which are part of our ongoing AbleTo Campaign.
The Lions Club of NE Minneapolis has supported AccessAbility for many years, both as a business customer and a donor. We are grateful for their partnership and support of our mission, to provide opportunities for self-sufficiency for people with barriers to employment and community inclusion.
We look forward to continuing to work together to serve people in our community.
