At AAI, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to work and be included in our community. However, many individuals who live with disabilities need nursing and/or personal care assistance throughout their day. AAI is one of just a few organizations where people can receive the personal support they need.
The combination of knowledge-base and work experience of our nursing team is impressive. “The team creates a friendly and fun environment while doing our work and we make it a point to get to know the individuals on a personal level. This is really important in providing services that enhance a person’s quality of life and in supporting vocational and recreational participation,” said Lydia, LPN.
Nursing Services are available to all those who come to AccessAbility, provided by a Licensed Practical Nurse, trained and certified nursing assistants, and personal care attendants. A Registered Nurse is available for consultation.
Services provided include: personal care, feeding assistance, diabetes care and monitoring (including insulin and glucose administration), G-tube and J-tube feeding, medication assistance, administration and monitoring, psychotropic medication monitoring, Mitrofanoff Catheterization, general health monitoring and care, and emergency care.
