Northeast Minneapolis mainstay will continue existing East Side Neighborhood Services programs without disruption and expand AccessAbility programs to the ESNS building.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. June 5, 2026 — AccessAbility, Inc. (AAI), a Northeast Minneapolis mainstay serving the community for 78 years, has acquired East Side Neighborhood Services (ESNS) and its assets and liabilities and created a new consolidated board that will act as the organization’s governing board. The united organization will be known as AccessAbility, Inc. moving forward.
All existing ESNS and AAI programs and services continue operating without disruption while the united organization assesses opportunities for integration and expansion. All available programs are listed at https://www.accessability.org/our-programs/
Like ESNS, AAI serves people often marginalized and of low socio-economic status with a focus on people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other barriers to employment and community inclusion, including those who have been justice impacted, new Americans, and people at risk of homelessness.

New Highly Competent Leadership Team with Strong Community Ties and Proven Track Record
AAI has a new seasoned, highly competent leadership team in place with strong community ties, and a proven track record of showing innovation and efficiency while making a noticeable impact. The people delivering all the vital programs and services remain hard at work during the integration process while looking for opportunities to collaborate and be more efficient.
Existing Buildings Remain in Operation
The existing ESNS services center on 1700 NE 2nd Street will continue serving as a community asset, housing Menlo Park Academy, food programs, and Vital Living while AAI moves its enrichment programs like creative and culinary art classes, fitness classes, and similar programs to also reside in the building. AAI’s work center and employment programs will be operated through the existing building located at 360 Hoover Street NE.
A Community Hub that Serves the Community in a Greater Way
